In support of the Fire Protection Association’s (FPA) Know Your Building campaign, David Mowatt, Chairman of the SCA, has recorded a short video message which can be viewed on the SCA’s Twitter feed here or on the SCA LinkedIn page.

The FPA’s campaign aims to help building owners and managers better understand the threat posed by fire and help to bolster business resilience. One of the core campaign objectives is for third party certification to be a regulatory requirement for all fire safety services and products and as David Mowatt says in his message of support, “You wouldn’t allow anyone who wasn’t suitably qualified to conduct work on gas appliances in your home, so why would you not demand the same when it comes to the specification, installation, and maintenance of your smoke control system in the workplace?”
